PDF/A Converter Service converts PDF files to PDF/A conform and compliant documents, based on the international Norm ISO 19005-1.

Optional it is possible to sign the documents with a PDF/A conform digital signature. First the file is analyzed and then converted.

The conversion embeds missing fonts and optimizes them on creating subgroups. Device-independent or missing color profiles will be substitued by defined ICC color profiles. Forbidden (JavaScript...) and unnecessary content will be removed and substituted by correct content.

The PDF/A Converter Service now also is able to convert PDF as well as Image files (TIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP) direct to PDF/A 1a and 1b. So beside the commandline version and .NET component there is also a windows service available with directory watch for converting Images to PDF/A. An image to PDF/A converter with direct conversion is very important because from now on many of the existing archives, which still base on tiff, will change to PDF/A.
